Focus
Yup, focus is the secret. Simply put, those that are #1 in their field do not have something you don’t, instead, they don’t have something you have.
If you look at the greatest of all time in any category they are not balanced. They do not have every skill. But what they do have, they use! They have clarity of mind as they are only concerned with one thing.
If you want to be the best salesperson. Stop trying to be the best in operations or marketing. Niche down your time to spend it only on the art of selling. You should be spending all of your working hours in the act of selling. There is a short cut - do more repetitions. If the best salesperson in your business does 20 calls a day you will surpass them if you do 40 per day or work 2 extra days per week. The math is there.
Kobe Bryant and Stephen Curry are well known for taking more shots at practice. They were the first to arrive and last to leave the gym. They knew that the more repetitions they got, the better they performed. They were focused on the one thing that made them better.
